Big potential to market Sarawak products on a digital platform, according to Annuar Musa


KUCHING: Sarawak has various products with enormous potential to present to the world through the digital platform, said Minister of Communications and Multimedia Tan Sri Annuar Musa (pictured).

He said products such as crafts, food, tourist destinations as well as culture could be a source of digital economy for entrepreneurs in the state.

He explained that through the #SayaDigitalKeluargaMalaysia tour, entrepreneurs in the state would have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of (doing business) and join the digital platform as well as e-commerce to expand the market. of their products.

“To join e-commerce, you have to learn well. There are entrepreneurs with good products but their brand image is lacking.

“(Through the Saya Digital program) We want to train them on how to create a good brand, good packaging and how to choose a suitable platform to sell their products,” he said during the Sembang Warung @ program Japen and #SayaDigitalKeluargaMalaysia Tour here on Sunday (December 12).

The #SayaDigitalKeluargaMalaysia program, organized by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), aimed to ensure that there is no digital divide for small, medium and micro entrepreneurs.

In elaborating, Annuar said that the #SayaDigitalKeluargaMalaysia Tour initiative was introduced to provide entrepreneurs nationwide with skills to enable them to venture into the wider global market.

“We want to make the digital world a way of life, to connect to the world. If previously you had to be 20 years old to start a business, today even the youngest can start a business.

“In fact, the last time around, if we wanted to sell our products to people in Kuala Lumpur, we had to open a store there. But now we can even sell our products to people (in the US) from America from right here, “he said. -Bernama
