Gamevil Inc. has acquired digital asset platform operator Zenaad as it prepares to roll out blockchain-based gaming features starting next year.
Korean video game developer, best known for massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMOPRG) Zenonia, has reorganized its game development team to include game developers Zenaad, Gamevil announced on Wednesday without disclosing financial terms and conditions. others of its acquisition.

The company will integrate Zenaad’s expertise in blockchain technology-based exchange operations and digital advertising service into its ‘Hive’ gaming platform, which is emerging as an open platform.
The game developer aims to create a blockchain-based gaming ecosystem through Hive, which would support game development and facilitate NFT trading.
The NFT exchange will also be established through a collaboration with subsidiary Gamevil Com2us Platform Inc. The company aims to open the exchange by March of next year, allowing users to trade NFT-based assets such as songs and music videos from Korean pop artists.
New blockchain-based games will also be released starting in Q1, ranging from the Chromatic Soul: AFK Raid collectible role-playing game to Summoners War: Chronicle.
Gamevil is the second largest shareholder of Coinone Inc., operator of a major digital coin exchange in Korea.
