The 2021 Digital Health 150 cohort has grown by approximately $ 14.9 billion in global funding on 522 transactions since 2016, and includes startups at various stages of investment development, from early stage to well funded unicorns. This year’s companies include startups working on data integration and analytics, hybrid virtual / in-person care, digital therapy, clinical intelligence, and more.
“This year’s Digital Health 150 is one of our largest to date, highlighting 16 categories including virtual care, clinical trial technology and workflow automation, as well as the addition new categories such as home health technology and computer-assisted imaging, “said Brian lee, senior vice president of the intelligence unit of CB Insights. “Last year’s class saw more than 20 outings, raised a $ 18.6 billion in global funding, and has announced more than 250 partnerships since its recognition, and we are delighted to see the future success of this year’s winners. “
“Jasper Health is honored to be recognized as one of the most promising digital health companies. This strengthens our efforts to transform cancer care by helping our members navigate the friction-filled health system and providing them with meaningful psychosocial and organizational support, ”said Adam pellegrini, CEO and Co-Founder of Jasper Health. “At CES 2022, Jasper will announce the launch of Jasper care+, which will deliver a truly connected care experience that leverages AI to drive empathy at scale. “
Using an evidence-based approach, the CB Insights research team selected the Digital Health 150 from a pool of over 11,000 companies, including applicants and nominees. They were chosen based on several factors including data submitted by companies, companies’ business models and market dynamics, and Mosaic partitions, the exclusive CB Insights algorithm that measures the overall health and growth potential of private companies.
Jasper has more than 10,000 members who have recently been diagnosed with cancer and who use the service to track symptoms, medications, treatments and appointments. Its personalized orientation capabilities contextually highlight educational materials, recommended actions and digital interventions. About half of Jasper’s members reported reduced stress and anxiety, and two-thirds reported better medication adherence when using the platform. Additionally, Jasper helps employers and health plans lower the cost of care by guiding patients to optimal solutions and facilitating coordination, data exchange, and care connections between visits.
