Lookout onlyFans! It looks like a new sexually oriented social media site is coming to town. Tyga took to Instagram on August 20 to announce that he would unveil his new Myystarr website which is expected to compete with the London-based company. The bold move comes just days after OnlyFans revealed they will ban sex workers and explicit content from their platform.
“I just deleted my OnlyFans, creating my own more futuristic, higher quality @ myystar8 platform at only 10% cost,” wrote the “Rack City” rapper. “Creators will also be able to make content of their choice!
Tyga’s new subscription upgraded website, slated to debut in October, is open to everyone from sex workers and celebrities to podcasters and artists.
“I know how many people make a lot of money on OnlyFans, and that’s where most of their income is,” Tyga said. Forbes. “I want to give these people hope.”
Additionally, Myystar content creators will be able to sell NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain, a press release for the new company read. The new partnership will see Tyga team up with acclaimed Creative Director Ryder Ripps who has lent his branding skills to artists like Azealia Banks, Travis Scott and Kanye West.
The 31-year-old artist joined OnlyFans in September and killed the website by charging fans a $ 20 monthly membership fee. Although he has not revealed how much he actually made on the risky site, according to Influence Marketing Center, the star is said to have been the platform’s fourth-highest earner, grossing nearly $ 8 million. His earnings are slightly lower than his ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna, singer-actress Bella Thorne and Cardi B, who joined the platform in August of last year.
3 months after launching her profile, the star created her own OnlyFans talent management company, TooRaww, which now has “more than two dozen clients”, Forbes Remarks. From now on, Tyga will give Myystar talents access to the website by invitation only, according to his Instagram post.
